Life is short.
It is easy to get lost in the flow and rush of it from day to day, so much so that entire weeks can fly by. Wait But Why have created a simple IG giving a breakdown of the average American life in terms of these weeks, each one a block to be filled, ticked off or wasted.
The first thing which may depress you is the sheer amount of space taken up by the pursuit of a career. The relative easy blue of our early years and purple of our retirement is far outweighed by the technicolour blocks of time we spend with our nose to the grindstone in education and work.
The rest of the article, which can be found here, also details some interesting weekly breakdowns such as the dates of famous deaths (Jimi Hendrix and Amy Winehouse both died at 27 a week apart from each other) and Albert Einstein’s early accomplishments.
A little random yes, but it certainly helps to demonstrate the finality of life.
